Introduction
The needs of production and industry are increasing and becoming more competitive, along with the rise of more compelling stories and increasingly skilled talents.
Producers Lab is here to facilitate the emergence of young producers ready to compete in local and international circuits.
Producers Lab program is designed to explore and develop the skills of young producers in production management, film financing, and distribution within both local and international ecosystems.
Mentored by producers with experience in various international productions and co-productions, participants are expected to prepare their feature film projects more thoroughly, in the hope that the films produced will have high production values, be enjoyed by many, penetrate various international markets, and have strong competitiveness to secure funding alternatives from both local and international sources.
Eligibility
- Participants must be producers who have previously made at least 2 short films.
- Participants must be producers currently preparing a feature film (Maximum 3rd feature film)
- Participants must be Indonesian citizens.
- Participants must be willing to attend all activities in person during Jakarta Film Week from October 22-26, 2025, in Jakarta.
- All activities with international mentors in Producers Lab will be conducted in English.
Registration File
Please compile all documents into a single PDF document and name it as 'JFW_ProducersLab2025_ParticipantName'. The registration file should include:
- Applicant's biography
- List of produced films and film festivals or channels where they were screened
- Filmography links, with at least 2 short films
- Project title
- Logline & Synopsis of the film project to be produced
- Film genre
- Director’s & Producer’s statement
- Film mode & color
- Crew list
- Cast list
- Distribution Plan
- Budget plan
Registration Deadline
All applicants must submit their files or documents no later than July 31st, 2025, at 23:59 WIB (Western Indonesia Time). Files submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
Selected Participants
- Selected participants will be announced at the end of September 2025
- After announcement, selected participants are not allowed to withdraw their participation in Jakarta Film Week - Producers Lab.
- Selected participants will be provided with domestic transportation and accommodation during the event.
- Selected participants will get the opportunity to join Pitching Forum for JFWNET—Industry Program
